Before you request your translation
What is the difference between a sworn translation and an ordinary translation?
A sworn translation is produced by a translator-interpreter appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation. It is signed, stamped and numbered, and includes a certification formula that gives it legal validity before any public authority. An ordinary translation has no such official value.
Can I receive the sworn translation as a PDF only?
Yes. A digitally signed PDF has the same legal validity as paper for the vast majority of procedures. If the authority requires the original wet-ink stamp, we also send it by registered mail.
How long does a sworn translation take in Barcelona?
Short documents are usually delivered within 24-48 business hours. The exact time depends on length and language; before we start, we confirm a fixed price and deadline.
Do you translate documents written in other languages into Spanish?
Yes. We work with sworn translators appointed for each of the 39 available languages, in both directions: from Spanish into the foreign language and the other way round.
